Bread Sticks
The bread and bisquit stick is a quick and easy way to bake delicious bread and biscuit pockets over an open campfire using store bought refrigerated dough or quick bread mix. Just twist the dough around the stick and hold it over the hot coals until golden brown. Then, put your favorite filling in the open cavity. Try stuffing with jam, jelly, pie filling, honey, fruit, sausage, eggs, or cinnamon sugar. Try ricotta cheese and pepperoni to make a unique calzone.
Fire Starters (For the Ambitious)
  1. Melt wax from old candles in inner pot (a pot within a pot of water). 2. fill dixie cups with dryer lint or wood chips. 3. Can dip fiber rope into extra wax to create fire starter candles. 4. Will burn for an average of five minutes to get your fire started!
Outdoor Pizza Grill
Can you tell it's lunch time? Make a wood fired pizza over the campfire with Romes Pizza Grill. Simply place pizza on grill surface and cover with aluminum foil. The unique raised edges of the pizza create an oven effect. Place over charcoal or campfire making sure the heat is even and steady. Cook until cheese is bubbly and crust is cooked. Works with frozen pizza, store bought, or home made crusts. Labels: M
Get a Tax Advantage
Did you know that interest on most RV loans is tax deductible. To qualify for the home mortgage interest deduction, the IRS has ruled that: *the RV must be used as security for the loan, and *the RV must have basic sleeping, cooking, and toilet facilities. Enjoy the benefits of RV travel, and get a tax advantage too!
Another Use for Wheel Chocks
Recently we had a customer e mail us (at walkvic@frontiernet.net) to share a camping tip. He commented that he enjoys cooking his meals on a camp stove and eating outside if the weather permits. Many times a site is not level, and he needs to shim under one or more legs on his table so that they won't be wobbly. He discoverd that wheel chocks do the job nicely, because the legs sit in the grooves that are often found on a wheel chock. If you have a tip to share please e mail us at: walkvic@frontiernet.net
Look Who Made the News
Check out Scott in this article! (May have to cut and paste) http://www.democratandchronicle.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080303/NEWS01/803030335/-1/VICTOR There is a video link too, fun to watch. Scott's getting quite a big head these days, makes working here tough!
Yakima Roof Racks Available at Four Seasons
We carry two unique products, both of which use a Yakima roof rack system. The A.R.E. truck caps that we carry offer the option of factory installed racks, referred to as "The Tower System". The racks include Yakima control towers, landing pads, roundbars and locks. Fleetwood Folding Trailers also use this rack system, although some of the basic hardware is designed specifically for a Fleetwood Folding Trailer. Both products (A.R.E. and Fleetwood) offer a variety of accessories which can be ordered to attach to the racks including: bike mounts, ski and snowboard carriers, boat and canoe carriers, load stops and heavy duty straps, cargo baskets, as well as roof top storage and luggage carriers.
Lunch Time- Pie Iron Cooking
It's lunch time here at Four Seasons, and it has all of us thinking about our favorite camping treats. An all time favorite of mine is pie iron cooking. If you haven't tried it before, it's a simple way of making terrific sanwiches in a matter of minutes. It's hard to beat a toasted sandwich. Using two pieces of bread, butter 1 side of each slice. Place 1 slice of bread, buttered side down into the bottom pie iron cavity. On top of the bread place your favorite sanwich filling. Top with the second slice of bread, butter side up, close the pie iron, and place over the grill, fireplace or campstove. Cooking time will vary, but 3-4 minutes is usually sufficient for each side. Scott's favorite filling is pizza sauce, cheese, and pepperoni, followed up with an apple pie sandwich. My kids prefer peanut butter and jelly, which turns this ordinary treat into a gourmet meal. I like just about anything, but have been trying different recipees out of the pie iron cookbook that we sell. You can get as fancy (or simplistic) as you want. If you haven't tried it yet, make it a staple in your camping routine!
